Imaging Body of Knowledge for the Professional Surveyor
This paper describes those aspects of the science and engineering of imaging which are relevant to the Surveying Profession. Since imagery in general, and earth imagery in particular, are ubiquitous in today's world many aspects of imagery should be known to the Surveyor. An outline is presented of those elements of imaging knowledge which should be known to varying degrees of thoroughness. A table explicitly conveys the level of competence needed by Surveyors in three categories of professional practice.
