Changes in Riparian Boundary Location Due to Accretion, Avulsion, and Erosion
This paper discusses the role of accretion, avulsion, erosion, and the effects these processes have on the riparian boundary. The definitions of all the terms will be stated along with relevant court cases to support these definitions. The difference in accretion and avulsion, and their effects on the riparian boundary, will also be illustrated in this paper by numerous court cases that were heard in the past.
