Shizheng Liangfang Shiyi

Shizheng Liangfang Shiyi (To clear up doubts about fine prescriptions of the plague) is a treatise on plague prevention and treatment in Lingnan by Li Peilan, styling himself Yonggai, who was born in Gaoyao, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. He was a Juren (a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level in Ming and Qing dynasties) when he was young and then became a famous TCM doctor in Guangxuâ–™s Reign, Qing dynasty. During that time the bubonic plague prevailed, Li practiced the treatments according to Luo Zhiyuanâ–™s Treatments for the Plague and accumulated rich experiences. Then he summarized and kept down what he learnt in 1899. Then he co-compiled Shizheng Liangfang Shiyi (also Shuyi Liangfang Shiyi) with Fu Mengtang, Liang Meichuan, Guan Yangzhi, Huang Songshao, Liang Junsheng, Zhong Zhisheng and Yu Zhuya in 1901.
