Geographies of Disability, Resilience and Social Justice
This research examines individuals with disabilities and their rights. The paper argues that there is a need to develop partnerships with people with disabilities, with their advocates, and with their representative organizations – in order to design and deliver human right training
that is meaningful, relevant and empowering. It requires a paradigm shift, in the incorporation of a research base that extends the boundaries of participatory research models, to include an advisory panel of people with disabilities.
