The embryology of the anthurid isopod Cyathura polita has been investigated. The cleavage pattern from the 8-celled stage, formation of the blastodisc, and gastrulation were followed. The development of the digestive and nervous systems was also studied, as was the migration of the genital rudiments. Some stages in the formation of teloblasts and their further activity are described. Some deviations from the general pattern of isopod development were noticed and are commented upon.
