Transdisziplinäre Forschung eröffnet einen sozialen Raum, in dem bestehendes Wissen verhandelt, neues generiert und an sozial robusten Problemlösungen gearbeitet wird. Für diesen Raum – die Agora – sind grundlegende Annahmen über die Voraussetzungen von Erkenntnis und die Beschaffenheit des Wissens neu zu bestimmen. Dazu bedarf es einer Theorie, die den Kennzeichen transdisziplinärer Forschung – Anwendungsorientierung und Zusammenarbeit mit Stakeholdern – Rechnung trägt und geeignet ist, diese Forschungsform in der akademischen Mainstreamwelt zu etablieren.

    All contributions undergo a double-blind peer review.
