Geastrum from the Atlantic Forest in northeast Brazil — new records for Brazil
Expeditions to remnants of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest in the Northeast Region resulted in three noteworthy Geastrum species. Geastrum morganii and G. quadrifidum are reported for the first time from Brazil, while G. albonigrum is reported for the second
time in South America. Detailed descriptions with taxonomic observations, photos of basidiomes in situ, and SEM photos are provided.
