The Dual System of Vocational Education: A Viable Model for Developing Countries?
The article examines the origins of the ‘Dual System’ of vocational education and training in Germany, and the changes that took place in response to both technological change and the global economy. It also evaluates the impact of the German model on other countries, and
the way some of these countries adapted this model for their own systems of vocational and educational training.
