Abstract

Part of the Cinetek Series of Flicks Books, which encompasses important works in the history of world cinema, this monograph deals with a highly original and controversial film that premiered in Tokyo in 1987. Yukiyukite Shingun deals with the real life efforts of World War II veteran Okuzaki Kenzo to chronicle atrocities, including murder and cannibalism, committed by Japanese officers on fellow Japanese soldiers in occupied New Guinea.
