Moss collections made by Auguste François Marie Glaziou between 1864 and 1895 in Brazil and now housed in BM and PC were critically examined. Information about the types, nomenclature, and taxonomy of 134 names based on Glaziou's collections is provided here. One hundred and three lectotypes are designated, and ten new synonyms proposed.
