Open Access Some Consideration of Binaural Cross Correlation Analysis

Download Article:
A relatively simple model of binaural signal analysis by running cross correlation has been simulated. Among others, signals have been used for the excitation of the model which have been picked up in the ear canals of real test subjects.

Results for low frequency, narrow band excitation of the model suggested listening tests, concerning the precedence effect. In these listening tests it was found that the precedence effect is anomalous for low frequency, narrow band signal excitations, as is predicted by the model.
