A Small Pressure-Gradient Hydrophone for Measuring the Particle Velocity in Fluids
The particle velocity in fluids can be measured by use of pressure-gradient hydrophones the dimensions of which are small compaired to the wavelength of the highest frequency. Besides the fundamental theory, the construction and the calibration of a gradient hydrophone with an electrodynamic
transducer system will be described.
