Secondary resonances of the conical diaphragm of an electrodynamic loudspeaker
The author repeats briefly the fundamental elements of the theory of conical shells to show that the motional impedance could be calculated by considering the two components of a vector in a four dimensional space. The distribution of resonant frequencies, assuming negligible damping,
is in good agreement with experiment, and is practically independent of the nature of the limiting conditions.
