Rainbow conference ticks all the boxes
When the International Committee for NDT (ICNDT), at its General Assembly meeting in Montreal in 2004, put its trust in South Africa to host the 18th World Conference on NDT in 2012, there were a few who thought it a daunting task for such a small institute as the South African Institute
for NDT (SAINT) to organise and stage the event. The South Africans, however, regarded it as a rare honour and a big challenge. They built a strong organising team headed up by WCNDT President Dr Manfred Johannes and, through a combination of total dedication and good cooperation, put together
a memorable event that achieved the overall objectives.
