Sorting the Unique Chirality, Right Handed Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes via the Dye Modified ssDNA
The unique (n, m) SWCNTs have both left- and right-handed helicity and they are enantiomers, and unique chiral SWCNTs with single helicity haven't achieved yet. In our studies the aromatic fluorescence molecule, (R+) 5′-Hexachloro-Fluorescein Phosphoramidite (HEX),
was linked to DNA, and this new polymer could help us to get unique chiral SWCNT (11,1) with only right-handed species, and this result is confirmed by AFM, HRTEM, NIR, SRCD, and Raman studies.
