TEM Observation and Study of Three-Layer Al2O3/ZrO2 Ceramics
The micrograph and the crystal orientation relationship of Al2O3/ZrO2 laminated ceramics were studied with the help of transmission electronic microscope (TEM). The experiment results showed that: the Al2O3 and ZrO2 grain
sizes were small and the links among the crystals were good. No flaws such as pores or micro-cracks were observed in the micro-structure. Further TEM analyses and electronic diffraction spot calculation proved that interface compressive stress could greatly restrain the transformation of the
tetragonal phase and increase the contents of transformable tetragon, but did not change the orientation relation between the tetragonal and monoclinic phase, while (100)
