Mastophora corpulenta (Banks) Bolas Spider (Araneae: Araneidae) in Central Mexico
Following observations of two females of an unidentified Mastophora bolas spider in Central Mexico (V. A. Basiuk, Adv. Sci. Eng. Med. 4, 376 (2012); V. A. Basiuk and M. K. Stowe, Adv. Sci. Eng. Med. 5, 1006 (2013)), a new finding is reported. The female found on April 3, 2016, along with seven egg cases was identified as M. corpulenta (Banks). Detailed images of the living specimen and of its epigynum are provided to aid future identifications, as well as the images of juvenile spiders.
