Solar Energy is one of the important renewable energy sources which provide unlimited prospects to bridge the gap in between the ever rising demand for energy and its diminishing supply in the near future when the nonrenewable sources may get completely exhausted. This paper proposes an Arduino based dual axis sun tracking system which is capable of maintaining the solar panel perpendicular to the sun rays for maximum solar energy utilization. The hardware prototype of this system is realized and validated successfully.
