Motion Analysis of Wrist and Hand Movements During Functional Tasks
This paper presents analysis of wrist and hand movements carrying out functional tasks. Movement performing functional tasks was captured and recorded by the motion system to be analyzed explicitly. The captured measurements were then used to model the computational hand movement in
visual 3D allowing reminiscence of the subject's movement at any time. To minimize the error that may occur during the capturing process, a standard protocol has been established. Statistical tool is used to analyze the measurements enabling the correlation's establishment of the movement
strategy. The experimental results reveal the relationship between the motion of the wrist and the flexion/extension of index finger. The results also reveal the relationship of the wrist and the radial/ulnar joints of index finger.
