Certain xanthene derivatives namely fluorescein, eosin and erythrosine were examined as sensitizer for colloidal AgTiO2 nanoparticles. The interactions were studied by absorption, FT-IR, steady state and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopic measurements. Apparent association constants (K app) resulting from the adsorption of dyes on the surface of AgTiO2 nanoparticles were calculated from both absorption and fluorescence studies. The rate of electron transfer process (k et) was calculated by using fluorescence lifetime measurements.
