Minimax Estimation in Burr Type X Model Under Various Loss Functions

Minimax estimators of the parameter of Burr Type X distribution have been obtained under several loss functions using a Bayesian approach. The loss functions are respectively the weighted square error loss, square log error loss, modified linear exponential (MLINEX) loss functions, weighted balanced squared error loss and precautionary loss functions. All these estimators were compared with a Monte Carlo simulation.
