Acta Ichthyologica et Piscatoria

In 2010 the Societas Scientiarum Stetinensis (or SSS, or Scientific Society of Szczecin or Szczecinskie Towarzystwo Naukowe) became a new publisher of Acta Ichthyologica et Piscatoria. The SSS was established in 1956. It consists of five Departments (I Social Sciences; II Natural and Agricultural Sciences; III Medical Sciences; IV Mathematical and Technical Sciences; and V Maritime Sciences. The principal goals of the SSS are organizing scientific meetings and conferences, publishing scientific papers, and organizing popular-science events such as the Zachodniopomorski Festiwal Nauki (West Pomeranian Popular Science Congress). The president of the SSS is Prof. Dr hab. Radosław Gaziński and the Secretary General is Prof. Dr hab. Wiesław F. Skrzypczak.
