Shaping the future: Sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship

The production and consumption patterns in the beginning of the twenty-first century are not sustainable. The impact of human beings on the natural environment is estimated to increase in the upcoming decades due to population growth and rising material affluence around the world. Sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship may enable and enhance the transition towards (more) sustainable production and consumptions patterns. These include incremental as well as radical sustainable innovation, which are largely untapped and which will shape our future.
