Abstract:

A review of the literature published in 2010 on topics relating to the treatment alternatives for wastewater from the textile industries is presented. This paper is divided into the following sections: some general reviews of the processes removing organic dyes and of the toxicity of textiles, followed by the more promising treatment technologies distinguished into physicochemical, biological and combined processes.
