Abstract:

Major portions of our country are beset by droughts, and virtually the entire country suffers some negative effects related to energy availability. Water and energy resources need to be managed more wisely and carefully to promote conservation and sustainability. Water recycling affords significant sustainable opportunities for both water and energy conservation. This paper presents working recycled water project examples that illustrate opportunities from the regional supply perspective down to specific distribution operations, including actual quantifications of the benefits.
