This manuscript highlights innovative approaches to conducting rapid watershed assessments and prioritizations through the use of user-oriented, customizable, GIS applications and details key steps in both the public involvement process and GIS application development which contributed to the development of a decision support tool which provides value to all levels of stakeholders.
