Abstract:

While the water sector has faced significant change in recent years, the challenges that utility leaders face today are unprecedented both in number and complexity. Our “new normal” includes managing growing economic pressures, improving infrastructure that in many cases is failing, increasing operational efficiency, addressing environmental and energy challenges, and meeting ever-tightening government regulation, to name a few. The question is: How do utility leaders develop strategies that address these issues and make their utilities more sustainable organizations?
