In addition, more complex models were tested using the BioWin and GPS-X simulators. The speed tests were carried out for steady-state and 14-day dynamic simulations. It was found that all simulators could carry out simulations in less than 6 minutes for the MLE process. More complex models incorporating IFAS ran much slower and the extra time required for this must be considered when carrying out process evaluations.
