	abstract = "Technical assistance and operator training can be a key factor in developing a successful process control program. This paper presents the process related aspects of a technical assistance and training program in the State of Connecticut to assist facilities to comply with the State's General Permit for Nitrogen Discharges. Three main areas were investigated; secondary clarifier capacity, nitrification and denitrification performance. Correlations between process theory and historical performance were developed and used to enhance process understanding and training efforts.",
