Energy Savings Opportunities of Existing Facilities
Abstract:With the high volatility in today's energy market, continued forecasts for higher energy prices, and the desire to reduce the use of traditional energy sources and green house gas emissions, it has become increasingly important to reduce energy use for water and wastewater facilities. An evaluation of existing utilization equipment and alternative solutions to power equipment is critical to reducing and managing overall power consumption. PRASA Energy Project evaluated a wide variety of energy saving opportunities and provided a proposed action plan and recommendations for reducing energy consumption.
