Effects of Freezing on the Viability of the Eggs of Ascaris suum
Abstract:The eggs of Ascaris sum from the feces of pigs were subjected to freezing at -80°C for different periods. It was found that 3 hours of freezing of a suspension of eggs in water was required to induce 3 logs of inactivation as determined by viability assessment using embryonation.
