Abstract:The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) has begun the journey of transforming its culture through the implementation of a strategically focused diversity/inclusion initiative. This initiative directly supports our business strategy of developing a more diverse and inclusive work culture that will strengthen the Utility's performance. The business objectives of our diversity/inclusion initiative are to: leverage the skills of all employees; proactively respond to the retirement of long-term employees (succession planning); respond to the needs of our diverse community/rate payers; enhance productivity; and provide education and training to all employees about the importance and value of diversity/inclusion in the workplace. This initiative will transform the Utility's culture, enhance the quality of our work, create a more productive workforce and improve our work life.
