Sustainable Water Resource Master Planning: The Hollister Urban Area Case Study – A View of the Future
Abstract:The paper describes an innovative alternative development and evaluation process designed to simultaneously address several critical water resources issues that threatened the continued economic development of the Hollister Urban Area. The process was used to formulate, develop, evaluate, and compare a wide range of sustainable water resources management alternatives. The application of this process resulted in the development of an integrated water and wastewater solution to meet the community's needs through the year 2023, while providing the flexibility needed to respond to changing conditions and a framework to meet needs beyond 2023.
