Abstract:The Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA) recently installed a 20-dry ton-per-day screw press dewatering system manufactured by Fuhoku Kogyo Company, LTD (FKC). This installation has been used for routine biosolids dewatering since November 2007 and represents the largest screw press municipal biosolids dewatering system in North American. This paper describes the dewatering facility, performance (specification) requirements and testing results, and evaluation of performance and operating data between November 2007 and March 2008.
