The paper will present a discussion of the largest pelletizer facility in Canada that has been constructed at the City of Toronto's Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant, including original process and the enhancement that were added to improve the final product quality, operations experience, as well as the benefits to marketing efforts. An important aspect of the paper will be the fire safety measures that have been incorporated, this will include designated ‘hazardous zones’, fire suppression (sprinklers and foam), pellet storage monitoring, nitrogen padding and dust control.
