Abstract:

During the design of any type of treatment facility, there is the potential of providing the client with a fully integrated controls system, requiring a common hardware and software platform of all control system within the plant. The common control system can be designed into the plant wide SCADA system, which is a very common practice. However, requiring the same consistent hardware and software platform of equipment suppliers (i.e. MBR, UV, bar screens, etc.) is a unique direction that can be taken that will provide a benefit to the client.
