Innovation Through Watershed Management: Utility Approaches and Themes
Abstract:The Water Environment Federation (WEF) convened a task force to assemble and analyze case studies documenting how techniques such as watershed-based permitting, pollutant trading, and novel wet weather strategies have been used successfully to reduce or avoid the expense of current and future of facility upgrades. Interviews of the case study utilities and a webcast with interactive questioning from a wide audience served as the basis for identifying fourteen themes that were found across the case study approaches.
