For this Manual of Practice, straightforward fourth power polynomial equations to a 60\textdegreeF base have been selected as the most functional.
Unfortunately, neither these equations, nor the other enthalpy equations found in the literature, lend themselves to a direct solution when trying to calculate a temperature from an enthalpy value. The easiest and most common way to solve this problem is by using a trial and error solution.
