Abstract:

North American utilities are facing a workforce transition unlike any the industry has ever seen. The result will be dramatic turnover in utility management personnel and the potential loss of vital institutional knowledge. Participants in this session will explore what one utility is doing now to proactively manage this transition.

By attending this session, utility leaders will discover how to kick-start a knowledge retention process in their organization, identify the leadership and management talents desired in future employees, and design a workforce development initiative that will address the specific future staffing needs of their organization.
