REHAB OR BUILD NEW? A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO LIFT STATION ANALYSIS
Abstract:An existing wastewater lift station was evaluated for feasibility of rehabilitation and continued use as an influent pump station for a future wastewater treatment plant. The lift station was evaluated on structural reliability, on-site storm equalization, pumping capacity, location, and cost. These data were compared with the preliminary design and layout of a new facility in close proximity to the existing lift station, which provided a basis for decision.
