Abstract:The Evergreen-Farmington Sewage Disposal System (EFSDS) has three CSO control facilities tributary to the Rouge River in Southeast Michigan. The CSO facilities include three Retention Treatment Basins (RTBs) and are sized to provide storage and adequate treatment prior to discharge. The RTBs incorporate several innovative combinations of design features. Public involvement was instrumental in siting and designing the CSO Facilities in residential neighborhoods.
