SAMPLING METHODS ON AREA SOURCES
Abstract:Presumption for a realistic kind of measurement of odor is a representative and reproducible sampling method. The sampling methods are still not standardized in the EU and even not in each country. In this paper, the fundamentals for sampling and measurement of gaseous emissions, like odor, onarea sources are presented. The focus is on the sampling method using different kinds of hoods as well as the infrared-thermography. The advantages and disadvantages of both methods will be discussed and results of some investigations on composting windrows are presented.
