WASTE SOLIDS MANAGEMENT APPROACH TO BALANCE ODOR RISK, PROCESSING NEEDS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
Abstract:A major odor episode at the North Cary Water Reclamation Facility became the driver for the Town of Cary to re-examine the planned solids processes at both of their water reclamation facilities. While the long-term biosolids plan is in place and still sound, adjustments to in plant solids processing have to be made in order to minimize odor risk and other impacts.
