Abstract:

The City of Plant City, assisted by Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., performed a pilot study on various diffusers at its water reclamation facility located in Plant City, Florida. The primary objective of the pilot study was to conduct a six-month side-by-side evaluation of the diffusers with respect to durability in the highly industrial-loaded influent. The findings of this study have been incorporated into the aeration design of the plant upgrade to a biological nutrient removal system.
