This paper will describe the application of asset management practices by personnel of Operations Management International (OMI), with Bin Ham Electro-Mechanical, their local partner, for their contract to provide operations and maintenance services to the Municipality of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for all Abu Dhabi Island Pump Stations. Techniques such as condition assessment, and predictive maintenance practices were employed to best operate and maintain the Municipality's assets.

Since assuming operations and maintenance of 58 wastewater and 23 storm water/dewatering pumping stations from the previous contractor in 2003, OMI and their local partner, Bin Ham Electro-Mechanical, have employed the use of asset management practices and predictive maintenance in their operations of the Municipality's assets.

The Municipality is involved in an asset management initiative that involves the tracking of all assets, though there has been an early focus on underground assets. The municipality is in the process of setting up tools for tracking of asset information for their above-ground assets. The poster shows how OMI and Bin Ham are working with the Municipality in the implementation of Asset Management Practices in their contract and coordination with the Municipality's Asset Management Initiatives.

The poster goes into the use of databases for the collection of data and the methodology in categorizing equipment and prioritization of work according to best management practices. Additionally, the use of different types of predictive maintenance was applied as part of the methodology.
