The Sacramento County Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) and County Sanitation District-1 (CSD-1) provide wastewater treatment and conveyance to 1.2 million customers in the Sacramento, California region. Through its benchmarking efforts and a high level assessment of its treatment
plant and collection system infrastructure, the District has identified a need to better manage its aging infrastructure in order to make more cost effective use of its available resources. In addition, there is the need to improve decisions regarding asset creation for a capital improvement
program estimated at over 1.5 billion. The Districts have identified a comprehensive Asset Management Program as the most cost effective and proven means of improving its customer levels of service and ensuring a sustainable infrastructure.
