Abstract:

A successful ERP implementation effort, similar to a complex capital project, involves extensive planning, coordination, and communication in addition to plain hard work. This paper presents one methodology that organizations may follow to improve the probability of achieving an ontime and on-budget implementation. Union Sanitary District (USD) used this methodology in deploying its Financial System Project, which went “live” in January 2004. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.
