Abstract:

The Kaldnes Moving Bed® biofilm reactor (MBBR) process has been used extensively for organic removal and nitrification of municipal wastewaters. This paper describes the full-scale combination MBBR and activated sludge demonstration and results that have been obtained to date for the Highland Creek WWTP relating to organic removal and nitrification.
