Abstract:

INTRODUCTION

Nutrient removal is assuming significant importance in both municipal and industrial applications. Furthermore, permits now frequently require total nitrogen limits rather than just ammonia nitrogen. An example is the recent guideline for the meat industry. In these cases, both nitrification and denitrification will be required.
