Abstract:
Consistent with many utilities in the U.S., the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) of Greater Cincinnati has faced many challenges in the past 20 years. Capacity demands associated with growth, an aging infrastructure, financial demands linked to capital expenditures as well as inflation, and more stringent regulatory requirements are some of the more significant challenges the District has addressed. Maintaining customer satisfaction while addressing such challenges requires progressive management combined with long range strategic planning.Document Type: Research article
